[Jimbaux knows that the little things give you away.]
As promised, here is the last of three installments of pictures I took in and near Pittsburg, Kansas, on 23 June 2007. I posted the first installment in early June and posted the second installment in late June. Here are the remainder of the shots from that day.
SEK
Some of you in the KCSHS will remember this.
This is the excursion on the shortline southwest of town.
This little hamlet is the place where the Missouri Pacific met the Frisco Line. The shortline uses the Frisco to get from Pittsburg to here, and the MoPac to go farther southwest from here. The track at left below is the old Frisco track that leads to the diamond that is really no longer there.
That’s a never-before-published picture from yours truly.
Back In Pittsburg, Back On the KCS
Here’s some unidentified southbound train (probably an M-train) at the KCS yard in Pittsburg.
That little gravel road going horizontally across the mid-section of the picture would have been a good place to crop the picture had I chosen to do so.
Oh, well. That’s enough for now. Thanks.
