KCS Job Entering The KCS Yard in Metairie From the NOPB – 24 July 2007

by admin on 2017/07/24

After I went half of the month of July 2007 without taking any train pictures until my slimy Sunday on the Lafayette Subdivision after my very photographic June of 2007, here, more than a week later, is a brief and insipid pair of images from Tuesday 24 July 2007.

This is a Kansas City Southern Railway transfer run, probably mostly of interchange cars from the CSX Railway, entering the KCS yard in Metairie, Louisiana, from the New Orleans Public Belt Railroad; the train is crossing L&A Road, named after KCS predecessor the Louisiana & Arkansas Railroad.

That’s all for the day, and, in three days, we will have a very similar-looking post!

I think both shots are unusually good , James, the first for the sweeping view of the KCS train and the 2nd for the detailed angular view with its detail.
