Not Much Of A Sunday Sermon
Well, here is mostly much to do about nothing; these pictures were taken on Sunday 20 November 2005 in Schriever, Louisiana.
I guess these pictures, insipid as they might be, are a result of curiosity; then again, all pictures are.
Digital SLR photography was still new to me, and I was still addicted to performing the practice on railroad subjects.
For now, we just have some static images; there is no moving equipment in any of today’s pictures.
These BNSF family hopper cars and gondola cars are in maintenance-of-way service.
I like these old gondolas.
Below is a good experiment in telephoto photography.
Let’s get an obligatory shot of the Louisiana & Delta Railroad’s motive power assigned to the Schriever job.
And, finally, let’s get a telephoto image of the eastern storage track, showing that bizarre, visually distinct load on a flat car.
That’s all, and that’s a relief, because the next three days would be intense! Stay tuned for that.
