[Jimbaux would rather feel pain than nothing at all.]
Greetings, dear Jimbauxlings. It’s been awhile, hasn’t it. It seems like forever since I last made a post here.
This Life Is Filled With Hurt
And is that why we need nurses?
I was on my way to an ice cream social in Silver Spring, and I passed the Washington Hospital Center where some of the nurses there were staging a strike.
As I’m typing this, I’m in one of those moods where I am not very expressive; so, the wordings in this post will be brief, and considering how wordy I can sometimes get, as that felon Martha Stewart says, “it’s a good thing.”
This young lady in the blue jacket kept shaking the sign when she saw me photographing her, as if that would help me to better frame a shot. (Hint: it doesn’t help.) In the picture below, I managed to catch her before she started shaking the sign.
There were more established media out there too, of course.
Check this out! This videographer has one eye on the reporter in front of him and one eye on Jimbaux!
Here’s a crew from a different news outlet.
Anger and agony are better than misery.
You’ll Thank Me Later
Can you read all of the signs?
Here’s the view from across the street. (I told you I didn’t have much to say about this.)
This shot below shows part of the hospital.
MesStar is the owner of the hospital, and you’ll read that some of the signs of the strikers contain messages about MedStar.
It was getting dark, Jimbaux was getting hungry, and plenty ice cream was calling his name!
Here’s another shot. (Didn’t I tell you I’m not verbose tonight? You weren’t paying attention?)
Ah, yes, bring your children to strike with you.
Have you had enough yet? I surely have.
I apologize if this posts doesn’t reflect my normal intensity of passion. I have my moments, which means some of the other moments are not so great.
So, you whoadies got rained out this weekend, didn’t you? I hope y’all saw my Endymion article on the NOLA Post, ya hurd may?
Bah, enough of this! I have no idea when the next post will be or what its subject will be. Peace out, dear Jimbauxlings.
